retrospective female bustforms

At Proportion London we are rightly proud of the company's 140-year heritage. During that time a multitude of body shapes have been developed that denote significant changes in fashion silhouettes of bygone generations.

The Retrospective Collection comprises four of these distinctive body forms, lovingly hand-made using traditional paper-mâché manufacturing techniques and upholstered in a choice of quality fabrics to give the perfect "old-new" look figure. Shown here are sumptuous silk mix velvets and over-painted calico with a distressed finish.

Accessorised with ink black stained and waxed wooden bases and necks and stove black metal, we additionally offer three of these shapes as ½ scale miniatures. A selection of retrospective shapes are also available for male forms.

Papier-mache production is an eco-friendly craft process and we are one of a handful of producers still operating production in the UK today. All these figures are skillfully handmade by our team of craftspeople, here in London.

Proportion London supply many of the world's leading museums, including the V and A, Kensington Palace and the Royal Collection.
